One bike, 900 miles, two legs.

7am rolls around far too quickly for my liking, and we’re up for breakfast and out on the road for 8ish, all the gear packed up in the truck and heading through Vancouver.

It was, as predicted, a pretty complicated route out of the city involving all sorts of twists, turns and two large bridges over the Pitt and Fraser rivers.

As we were staying in one large group it was a pretty slow ride, but maybe that’s for the best, considering the tough days ahead… We pulled into the Fort Langley campground mid-afternoon, giving us plenty of time to wander around. Though there wasn’t much to see, thanks to the cloudy weather and a flooded viewpoint on the island.

Tomorrow we’re heading out of the city for good, leaving civilisation behind and all these lovely bike paths – only highways and hills are in store for me now!

Hey matey, Hope you’re enjoying your almighty trek across such delicious landscapes. That tent seems to be doing the job against any potential bear attacks too! good thing you synced your period to avoid the trip, I suppose you can never be too careful. Plus the extra room afforded by avoiding the clutter of Tampax on such a journey is welcomed.

Anyway, take care and see you soon dude! :)
